The Orion spacecraft will be launched with dosimeters of the Centre for Energy Research (EK) on board on top of the SLS rocket, as part of the first Artemis mission.
Dosimeters from EK Space Science Department will also play an important role in the first mission of NASA's Artemis programme, which will provide key data on the space radiation environment for the future development of human crewed spacecraft, the Gateway and the lunar base. The Orion spacecraft and its Space Launch System (SLS) are already assembled and awaiting launch at Launch Complex 39B at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This is also the iconic site for the Apollo and Space Shuttle launches.
Detailed information will be available on the day of the launch on the websites of the Eötvös Loránd Research Network (ELKH) and the Centre for Energy Research.
